A Note to Our Readers …
For over 30 years, the Larry Hunt Newsletters have been a staple for the print-for-pay industry, helping our readers stay informed within our ever-changing industry and helping to ensure readers negotiate the best possible pricing on new and used equipment.
As with every rapidly changing industry however, tough decisions must be made within every business. After battling with declining membership, survey fatigue, declining equipment purchases and dramatically changing technology, it is with great sadness that I must announce the closure of the Larry Hunt Newsletters.
This is not a decision that has been made lightly. For many years I have been looking for someone to continue the Larry Hunt legacy, unfortunately with no success. I have also tried to come up with a way to change the newsletters to be more all-inclusive, but with the industry becoming more segmented due to the addition of emerging technologies, this was not a viable option either.
Therefore, the March edition of Larry Hunt Newsletter will be the last issue. All subscriptions will be refunded in-full, pro-rated from March.
In closing, I must thank you all for allowing me to share my knowledge and love for this industry with you for so many years. It has been a true honor being able to continue to serve this industry as I eased my way into retirement. I am confident that if there comes a need for this type of service again in the future, someone will step up to provide it.
I must also thank my wife, Karen Fox, for her continued support of Larry Hunt Publications. Our managing editor, Hannah Zollweg, for her eight-years of dedication to assisting me in making sure the newsletter went out every-month. Paula Fargo and Dave Fellman for their countless special reports. Carl Holscher, Caroline Culbertson and Ed Avis for their editorial contributions. And last, but never least, Larry Hunt for trusting me with the honor of continuing the Larry Hunt Newsletters for the last 10 years.
