Dirck Holscher started working on the Larry Hunt newsletters in 2009, and became editor and publisher in 2011. Dirck has served in a variety of management positions in the quick print business for over 30 years. He co-founded several successful companies, including Circle Graphics, the Print and Graphics newspaper, and the internation group of Copy General copy centers. He was president of Copy General from 1981 until 2001.
Dirck was active in re-establishing the private sector printing industry in Eastern Europe during the 1990’s and beyond. Copy General continues as a market leader in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Russia. His experiences in Europe were featured in the New York Times magazine.
Dirck has been a featured speaker for many organizations and government agencies, including the Association of American Publishers, the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives, the Pratt Institute and the World Bank. His publications include pioneering articles on desktop publishing and laser printing applications for electronic publishing. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the National Law Center at George Washington University,
and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. He served for three years on the Board of Directors of Print Image International (NAQP).
Larry Hunt began publishing Color Copy News in July 1991, and High Speed Copy News followed shortly after in January 1992. Larry is past chairman of the National Association of Quick Printers and founder of the NAQP High Speed Copier and Color Copier Users Groups.
Larry was honored by NAQP as their 1983 “Quick Printer of the Year”. In 1986, he was presented an Award of Excellence by the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) and he was named Quick Printing Magazine’s “1990 Man of the Year”. He is author of 4 books, including “How Much is Your Printing Business Worth?” and “Keys to Successful Quick Printing”.
